Cant see mouse pointer on desktop

Hey, I have a problem, when I go to my desktop, only my desktop(no windows open, no yahoo widgets, no icons) I cant see my mouse pointer, but when I put a window, or an icon or a yahoo widget, I can see my mouse pointer only when it hovers over the item but after it passes the item, it disappears again. Anyone know why?

 

Are you saying, when you go to the desktop, there are no icons, no mouse points, no nothing?

What OS are ye running?

Vista, xp, me, 2k, nt4, 98, me?

 

O sorry I meant I chose to do that, as in hide my desktop items by right clicking and selecting hide icons, but I can set them back If I wanted to, I run on windows xp.

 

Basically what Im trying to say is my mouse is invisible on my desktop but I know the mouse works because when I hover over the bar at the bottom and if I right click.

 

Are you using NVidia? This is a known issue with their latest driver. Downgrade to 78.01 to solve it.

 

did you recently do an upgrade for your mouse drivers?? (if your are using a logitech or microsoft mouse), also look at the option 'hide mouse pointer during typing' if it is on, turn it off, if it's off, turn it on, but first, do the nvidia driver thing, this might help most
