if you are using a router then try resetting the internet connection

    Ooh Ooh
    Yeah.
Hubby has his connection with wireless so we have a router.

I must say as well we had some wicked storms which knocked out service for 12 hours or so, and THIS is how things were when it all came back one, which of course was between last night when I signed off for the night to this afternoon.

By re-setting do you just mean unplug everything, wait for a bit then plug it all back in??

Power off cable/dsl modem, router and PC.

    Power on in this order:
    Cable/dsl modem
    wait 30 seconds
    Router
    wait 30 seconds
    PC

For Microsoft IE 6.0: select the menu “Tools” -> "Internet Options". Under the tab of “Privacy”, move the slide to “Medium High” or “Medium”.

Have you tried bypassing your router and plugging directly into your cable modem? I'm assuming you have cable modem. If you had a storm you may want to see if something happened to your router.

I have generally heard before that modems let lightening or electrical surges through them sometime sdamaging the router, the modem or both.:)
