can't undo "read only" in OpenOffdice.

    Program: Open Office 3.3.0
    Operating sys.: Windows 7. 64 bit
    Problem: Am unable to edit a password saved document. Though I did not save it as 'read only' when I saved it with a password, it opens, after entering password, in 'read only.' Clicking 'edit' changes the appearance of the page, but still can not edit it. I have opened the 'more options' tab when I go to enter a password. I do not check any of the 'read only' boxes. :(
