Can't Uninstall Aisuite3 Even After Cleaner

I was having problems with AISuite3/DIP5 not remembering my OC settings, so I decided to use the bios UEFI instead (I know, I know).

After uninstalling all components of AISuite3 via the program uninstaller and running CCleaner and the AISuite3 Cleaner several times (including Safe Mode), the multiplier continues to default to the last setting used in DIP5 when I log into Windows.

As a test, I created another Windows profile, and the multiplier runs correctly in that profile. Interestingly, vcore settings are correct as per my UEFI settings in both Windows profiles. But when I log back into my normal Windows profile, the multiplier runs correctly for a second, then quickly reverts back.

I've deleted anything I can find ASUS-related in the registry (after backing it up of course!) and I'm unable to figure out what is reaching back into the bios and changing the multiplier. If I can help it I do not want to move to another Windows profile as I have Dropbox monitoring certain folders and it was a pain to set up!

    Please help.

Yes, I've been using AI Tweaker, and as I mentioned I've run that same Cleaner a number of times, including Safe Mode.

Ok thanks, I'll give that a try :)

Tried the advanced RevoUninstaller method, same thing. The test profile is running at the correct speed, but my profile is not.

Does the AI Suite still show up in msconfig (W7)/startup (W8/10) programs or services?

You could also try a Tweaking repair from Safe Mode. It may reset any services or permissions which have been changed.

AI Suite is so poorly written that even after uninstalling it leaves behind 4 separate services which require disabling. I did this the first time and had to do it again here. Also ran the Tweaker tool as per your suggestion and still the same problem.

Some damn thing is reaching back from my specific Windows profile and changing the multiplier (but not the vcore!) to the last DIP5 settings, which actually stopped working during the first install and did not respond even after this last reinstallation.

The test profile continues running fine, as per my AI Tweaker settings. Very frustrating!

...and now even the test accounts revert back to DIP5 multiplier settings. Sheesh!

The only thing I could find unsigned was from Canon. I've included a system summary from Process Explorer here

I don't see anything un-usual... nor possibly related to ASUSTeK , the software developer.

Is this folder found using Windows Explorer? If so, what's in it?
    c:\ProgramData\ASUS

I thought I deleted it, but yes. Two folders: ASUSMINIBAR and DIP

    DIP contains turbo_app.db
    ASUSMINIBAR contains ASUSMINIBAR.xml

Can you delete the files first... then the sub-folders, then the folder?

Yes. I'll reboot, see what happens

Folders + files have been deleted, but same result.

Damn! Thought we were onto something there...

:( I don't OC my motherboard so I don't know where to go from here.

From the affected Profile, check the Power settings in Control Panel, reset whichever you use of the Balanced or High Performance to defaults.

Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices and dig through to find the non-plug and play drivers and look for anything related there - but don't delete anything that has a driver status of Boot or System - you could end up with a boot time ox7B BSOD that might take reimaging to fix!

Report back on what you find that might be relevant, giving us as many details as you can.

Run MSInfo32 and open each section so that everything that can be is fully populated and then save it as the default MSInfo32.NFO, zip that and attach the zip to a reply, please.

Using Autoruns I disabled asio.sys and asupio.sys - both AISuite drivers. Rebooted and no change. Couldn't see anything hidden in Device Manager. I have no services running that shouldn't be, as far as I can tell...

I'm wondering if resetting the bios is in order?

So I figured out the problem. I was using RealTemp to monitor temps, which has a setting called 'disable Turbo', which for some reason I had checked. Anyway, even though I had turbo disabled in some OC configurations and not others, it would not allow the multiplier past the CPU default under any circumstances. Once I unchecked that box - voila.

I'm just happy it's working properly - it was driving me mad! Thanks for all the suggestions, much appreciated!

    Good work :)

All I could pick out from MSInfo was a number of 3rd party utilities, mostly motherboard/CPU/graphics/SSD -related that might have been conflicting but I could see nothing in the Windows Error Reporting section that hinted that they were involved.

Check that you didn't allow Samsung Magician to install the tweaks that includes a new Power plan (Control Panel, Power Options), that does some strange things, revert to Balanced or High performance if you did.

Glad you got it sorted out.

Just for future reference, don't use software to OC your mobo. Given the option, use the BIOS going forward.
