    Hello
I would like to uninstall IE7 but I do not see it in Add-Remove Programs. I have show hidden files and folders enabled.
Also when I go to Start-Run- %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, windows says it cannot find the .exe.
Is there another way to uninstall?

    XP Home SP3

    Thanks:)

IE 7 is more secure than IE 6. Why do you want to uninstall it? Anyway, if you really want to uninstall it, you need to uninstall SP3 first. Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177

Well Im having a problem with my DVD not seeing discs. I am told that IE7 might be interfering with the DVD function using Roxio 10.
The thread I read said that rolling IE7 back to 6 will solve this. However I am not sure this is really the problem.

    What I have done so far;

    Uninstalled- ReInstalled Roxio 10 XE

Unistalled drive in Device Mgr; rebooted.
No yellow question marks in Device Mgr.
Checked driver update at the Lite On website; driver is up to date
    Updated PX Engine to 4-10-28a
Transfer mode set to; DMA if available.
Checked that D:\ is Master and E:\ is slave.

After doing all this Roxio will still not see a DVD-R in the DVD drive.
Could you help me with this problem?

If you installed IE7 before SP3, it's hard to remove (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950719/). Article also gives instructions on how to remove.

It is possible that installing IE7 trashed some needed dll somewhere - in which case uninstalling will probably not help.

I'm inclined to agree.. Maybe I should think about reformatting..:(

Might be worthwhile to wait and see if someone with more knowledge than myself knows something different. But that does seem to be a more-than-common way to fix a lot of Microsoft problems. Unfortunately.
