Can't Update Windows Vista (nor AVG)

    Hi

    I can't update my Windows.

    I got the error code: 80244019

    I am using Windows Vista Home Premium

    My antivirus AVG Free also can't update

    Any help would be very much apreciated

    You may have malware, the above link will give you directions on how to clean your pc of malware, if you still need help after following procedures you can post the requested logs in the Malware Forum as attachments and they will help you.

    I wish I could be as fast as you... ;-)

    I can surf but sometimes I am blocked.
    For instance, in my computer I can't access Malwarebytes.

    I haven't yet go trought all the steps.

    For the momment I only ran Malwarebytes.
    It found a malware : iamfamous.dll (Trojan.Agent)

    This post is just to say thanks to you.
    This evening, I hope, I will send you all the reports.

    make sure you put the logs in a post in the malware section, so someone with knowledge in that area will see it.

    As it seems that my problem is due to a malware I will continue this post in the Malware Forum.

    So I will post there the logs.

    Hi Bucks, I see you posted in the Malware Forum.

    Just a heads up, the malware you have maybe a keylogger, if you have used online banking or credit cards from this infected PC; you may have a problem, change your passwords from another "clean" PC and alert your credit card co. if you need to.

    I'm not trained in malware and they will be able to give you more credible info when you come up in Malware queue but better safe than sorry till then.

    Happily I didn't have online banking or credit cards but your advice come just in time.

    I was going to begin to have online banking when this happen... :(
