Can't update Windows

  1. Recently, (2 months) I have been unable to install Windows updates for some reason. Manually, or automatically. I get a 0x8007F0DA error every time. I've tried all the suggestions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958050 with no success. I've scanned for malware, and viruses, and have come up empty. I haven't noted any other problems with my computer other than not being able to update Windows. If anyone has any other ideas/suggestions, pls let me know. Thanks.

  2. Well, I finally figured out the problem. Zone Alarm. I turned it off, and the updates went thru. Thought I'd post the solution in case anyone else has the same problem. Funny, I've used Zone Alarm for more than 10 years, and have never had this problem before...
