can't use website w/wi fi but can with wired

I have been using a new Toshiba laptop to do online bill pay thru my bank for the last 2 months with no problem. Now, suddenly, when I enter the $$ amount for the bill the site tells me it is invalid and I must enter a valid amount. I did enter a valid amount. So I go to my wired desktop, same website and no problem there, no messages about invalid amounts. Bill gets paid.

Does this sound like the banks website or something in my computers system? Firewall?? Wireless router glitch? Using the wireless was fine until a few nights ago.

Hi

What Windows version and Service Pack on both PCs?

What Browser and version are you using (on both PCs)? if IE then I have seen some glitches with websites not updating themselves to work with IE9 properly, so if you click the Compatibility option HERE

Could try an alternate browser on the laptop to test that its not something else, use Firefox or Opera, if using IE, or IE if using Firefox, Opera etc

Could also be that the banks site using Sun Java or Adobe Flash so make sure you have latest versions of both.

DavidGP - thank you so much for answering so quickly. Appreciate your time very much. Turns out I had an easy remedy - I disconnected from the wireless network, waited a few minutes and connected again and everything was fine. Paid bills with no problem. Don't know what caused that little glitch but I am glad it was an easy fix.
