Can't view messages in Outlook Express

This is a problem that has been occuring throughout the last few days. Whenever I open any e-mail in Outlook Express, the message is always blank. To read the message, I need to go to Properties / Details Tab / Message source. At first I thought it was a server problem but then I received some e-mails on another account I have setup on Outlook and the messages weren't being received in the main message window either. I had to go into Properties to read it. I would also like to mention that these are two different mail servers (one is Hotmail and the other is one offered by my ISP).

I have made no changes in Outlook Express in the last few days so I don't know what brought this on. If anyone can help me with this, I'd be much appreciated.

Also, ever since I reformatted my computer a couple weeks ago, I've been having some issues with applications such as AOL Instant Messanger. Whenever I go to load the program it opens for a second and then just disappears. I tried going back to older versions and it does the same thing. This never happened before I reformatted so I'm sure it has something to do with that.

Yes. I have ran a virus scan, both Norton and Panda (just right now) and it found nothing. I run Ad-Aware everyday and just installed Spybot and found nothing.

 

reformatting the computer would not be the cause of this. if anything a fresh install would be when the computer is working at its finest.

SInce you have no viruses malware or spyware then scan for trojans

I ran the scan at TrojanScan and it found 0 infected files.

I can't read any of my e-mail messages in Outlook Express 6. I have run Norton's Anti-Virus, AdAware, and SpyBot.
