car insurance gimmicks

What’s your favorite car insurance gimmick? The talking gecko? The gruff cowboy? What makes you feel the most automotive safety?

I like the one from Mercury (www.mercurytheory.com). If you haven’t seen it they claim the owners of Mercury are from Mercury and they’ve got all the corroborative evidence including an armadillo and 10X magnification of burnt toast (check out the videos and slides) that proves everything. Makes me chuckle.

 

Not Really insurance but in terms of cars:

The Honda Cog advert was one of my favorites.

The gecko, as the accent reminds me of my brother, who I miss, so that advert makes me smile

 

Has anyone seen the Geico commerical where the 2 squirrels make that car crash? Then they give themselves a handshake? That was classic

 

I'm watching that Mercury thing.... a lot of effort was put into it

Can't believe nobody's mentioned the "So easy, a caveman could do it..." ones from Geico. The expression on his face in the new one is priceless. Not to mention the fact that Geico is running so many different campaigns simultaneously.
