    Hi,

I am building my first new system and have run into a problem. My case headers coming from my case don't match with description in my mobo manual.

My Mobo has a panel of 9 pins

    2 4 6 8 0
    1 3 5 7 9

    Pin 1 & 3 HD LED
    Pin 2 & 4 FP PWR/SLP (MSG LED)
    Pin 5 & 7 RST_SW
    Pin 6 & 8 PWR_SW

It looks simple but the FP PWR/SLP connector coming from the case is a 3 pin connector. It has 2 wires but the middle connector is blank. I am not sure about getting around this, Is there an adapter a work around or simply not connect it.

    Thanks
    Sean

This often happens with 'mix n match'.
Don't connect it unless you really want the led working. the other connections will allow the board to function.
If you must connect you can get a suitable header from Maplin by post or at one of their stores.
