Are you building this machine yourself? Does the case itself have any fans installed? As for the motherboard, when it said fanless, it probably meant for the chip, which has a heatsink on it. (no fan needed) As for the first one, the CPU, (if installed) it SHOULD already have a heatsink\fan already on it. If it didn't, you'd burn it up in seconds after hitting the power button. As for the HDD, that I don't understand unless he's trying to sell you a HDD cooler. The important thing is check your case and see if any fans are installed. At a minimum, there should be one fan in the front (intake) and one on the rear (exhaust). Do NOT count the one on the PSU (power supply)! Let me know.

    Hi

Could you list all the things you have bought upto now to build this PC? as Stubby says the CPU if retail boxed one (so let us know if the CPU is listed as Retail or OEM) will have a heat sink fan already supplied for the CPU cooling if OEM it wont, motherboard uses passive cooling so the small metal heat sinks aid cooling without a fan.

Reason I ask on CPU is it Retail Boxed or OEM as in that screenshot the model nunmbers are for both...ADO5200IAA5DO is OEM (no heat sink fan supplied for CPU) ADO5200DOBOX is Retail Boxed (will have heat sink fan supplied in box).

The main thing that you could add fans too is the case so what case have you bought? as many come with a few fans as standard, and as mentioned the PSU normally has a fan as well as many graphic cards so those dont need extra ones.

    Hi Halo :-D
I am not building the machine i have bought it ready assembled. Here is the link to what i have bought I hope it becomes more clearer to you guys than i have been.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Athlon-DUAL-CORE-AM2-5200-2GB-500GB-GeForce8100-GAL_W0QQitemZ350172551944QQihZ022QQcategoryZ179QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

Now after i bought it I had a few emails from them asking for more money for things i thought i would have had. Here is part of the email.....
I would strongly recommend the case fans @ £9.99 for the pair, its always a good idea to keep the temperature inside the PC as low as possible, especially so with the very fast processor in there, they run at higher temps than the older CPUs in general anyway.

And this is why i asked you guys for advice in the first place. :confused I was worried that my PC would have gone up in flames and in the descriptions it didn't say i needed any so i thought everything was good.

I went to the link you posted and it appears, from the photo, you have at least one fan in the side panel. I can't tell if there is a fan in the rear or not. I don't think there is. It appears that what they are trying to do is use 'scare tactics' by saying that if you don't buy these extra fans you're CPU won't stay cool enough. Granted, case fans would help somewhat in the cooling of the CPU, but the CPU gets it's primary cooling from the heatsink\fan mounted on the CPU itself. There are 2 ways you can go here, buy the 2 case fans, or wait until you get the machine, open the case and see for yourself. I have the feeling though, they didn't put any case fans in, other than the one on the side panel. Here's the link to your machine just in case someone can take a look and maybe see something I didn't http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Athlon-DUAL-C...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

Went to link and must be a UK thing.
Can't tell from photo shown and no others came up. Same seller has about 7-8 of the same item.
None like it on my eBay.
