This is the case I want to use when I build a computer, but I can't find any reviews on it. It's an Aspire X-Plorer Metal Case w/ Side Window-Black (ATXB8KLW-BK/420). I'd like to know if the brand really matters when your buying a case, or if I should just go for looks. I'd appreciate any opinions or comments on Aspire cases and/or how well other cases have worked for you.

Brand shouldnt matter unless you are planning on moving your case a lot. If its just goin to be sitting there, stability isnt really an important factor.

    -HOWEVER-

Good brands tend to have better/more features in their cases and usually focus on making their cases the best for good airflow.

Asipre is a good brand; that case should be fine. Read the reviews on Newegg here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144102
or just google reviews for that case

Aspire PSU's are junk!.... Bottom of the Barrel:eek:

Brand doesnt matter, Lot's of Brand named one's are overpriced.

What matters when buying a case is Size, will your MOBO fit with all your other hardware?
Bigger is easier to cool, easier to manage wiring, neat & tucked away is cooler.
Aluminum is Cooler & lighter, easier to cut hole's in and or modify.
Probably the most important thing is good case air flow, high air flow at low noise levels. ( cool air in lower front or even bottom and hot air out back or top of case)
Case air flow is Sooo important!
Most 120mm fans can push lot of air quietly
Most Generic & even some brand name cases come with fans but usually poor ones.

    Hello:
I have the Aspire X Navigator since 15 months and have no problems whatsoever.
It houses my Prescott cpu(known to run hot) and idles at 28-29C and under 40C with 75-80% load. That the most important part of a case in my opinion.
