case speaker and display problem case speaker and display problem

hi all basically I built my new PC yesterday:cool
Problem is I turn PC on fans and everything spin and start working but the screen remains blank with orange light. I've tried re-seating RAM and graphics card but no luck. So I need to find out what the problem is, motherboard, cpu?

Also I realised I hadn't connected the 'speaker' cable for case. This is because the mothebroard doesn't have any 4pins to slot the cable into:confused I really need to find a slot so I can figure out if there is any beeping and what the problem is.

Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 4GB (2X2GB)
X Power GTX Light 580W

yes.
now im having another problem, i've removed the motherboard from the case to do try testing it out of case, I removed cpu hsf but the whole thing came off with cpu. So pulled cpu off, thing is pins got bent in the process. so ive straightened pins but now the cpu doesn't appear to properly seat inside the socket. its like hanging on one side.

 

that was probably the problem to start, the cpu wasn't seated properly...double and triple check how it's supposed to go in. look on the web for pictures for your exact cpu and how it sits on the mobo.

 

thanks for help but it sorted now. I wasn't putting enough pressure on for it to slot in, all good now, the speaker isn't an issue as everything boots fine and installed windows succesfully:cool
