Casting Kodi On Chromecast

Facing real difficulty here, when trying to cast Kodi on my TV via chromecast. When using Kodi I can watch content on my phone OK, but cant cast on TV. When I had the old chromecast app there was never a problem. Now the new googlecast app does not offer screen casting.

I have read Kodi and chromecast dont work well with each other so I downloaded Es file explorer, localcast and playerfactorycore to assist but nothing has helped thusfar.

I have downloaded megacast, vegacast and cast box. All require a URL; but there is no option to screen cast. Often times I dont know where to find the path when I'm using Kodi.

Can anyone assist.

Since Kodi does not include screencasting abilities by default, the only true way you'll be able to will be to do basically what you have already mentioned. Another option would be to use Plex to screencast your movies and shows to the TV.
