Hi, I have a sapphire 5770 vapor x and was doing a benchmark test for the dir.x11 using the HEAVEN test. first time around went great, second time around I overclocked the card to 959/1260. nothing else is overclocked. my temps were fine, max gpu temp. was 59c. cpu temp was 44c, during the first test. I was going to test the dir.x10 with it being overclocked, but, as sone as I started the test, the monitor lost signal. I had to hook up to mobo port, and after cecking, found that the ati drivers were gone. looked in device manager, no drivers for my video card.tried to reinstall, but no luck. after insalation of the cat. 10.3 drivers, I get the message that the install was good, no errors. after exting the install page, I keep getting, no ati drivers found, or drivers are bad. I'm using the on board graphics now, drivers downloaded fine for it. the cards fan is working and the light is coming on. tried to install with the card out and with it in, both no good. when restarting the computer, desk top, message comes on the monitor, NO SIGNAL. when using mobo hook up, every thing is fine. I just ran malwarebyts, no bugs. any suggestions?

Could have been the 6-pin plug wasn't seated all the way or possibly your power supply isn't up to powering the card when OC'd.

well the problem is back. I fired up the computer this morning and no signal came up on the screen.the fan on the video card sounds like its turned all the way up, normal is 40 and very quite. I'm using the mobo graphics right now. psu is two months old 730w, card calls for 425w. the card is not oc right now. the problem is that the computer is not recognizing the display drivers. I looked in device managers, no drivers are installed, when I know there is! I was was using MSI AFTERBURNER for the oc, and used CCC, also as a reference guide as to how high I could go. I went 10 points under what CCC said I could run on afterburner, and ran my dirx11 benchmark test.I think that there is two programs going on at the same time. should I do a system restore? or do you have any other ideas? sorry for the book, just wanted to be clear on what was going on.
