Catalyst Control Centre Issue!

Hi all,

I have just reinstalled windows 7 and everything is fine except 1 thing. I am getting an error message saying 'catalyst control centre has stopped working'. Now i did just download it and put it on computer but only because i thought it was something your computer needed in order to work. I dont play games except for the odd game of bingo online (sad i know), so do i need it or can i remove it from my computer. Or can i remove it and replace it with something else if it is something i need. I dont know what info you need, if any, but i have a AMD Athlon(tm)X2 DualCore QL-64 and ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (HP) runnng windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

I have looked up on solutions, but i know nothing about this side of things in any way, shape or form.

CCC is not needed - in fact, it can become a real pain if corrupted. You may safely uninstall the applet, and there is no need to replace it - all of your graphics tweaks will still be readily available via Display Properties and Personalization.

No problem - I can see a need for a graphics control panel if you're into something like 3D modeling, high-end benchmarking, etc., but for the most of us normal users, it's just not necessary.
