Hello, I'm new here, I have windows 7 and I am not very good with computers. Everything is generally running alright as of now, but there are a few issues I'm sure will continue to cause me problems.
The first is that I haven't been able to set a restore point or do a system restore since around May... I get this little system restore error message.

Additionally, when I log into windows I get an 80080005 fatal error.

I apologize if I look like an idiot right now for not understanding how something I use every day works, but I just don't. I start school again in a few days and I'd really like to have my computer running the best it can be, especially because I have an online class. If someone is willing to help I have a lot of common sense and can likely find any information you need to know very quickly if you tell me where to look, and I am very good at following directions. Thank you!

In my experience, and recent experience the best thing to do with HP Connection Manager is to uninstall it, and let the Wireless Zero Configuration that W7 has built into it run that part of the show.

I get it when I try to do a system restore, which I have tried a small handful of times since May unsuccessfully. It has been setting restore points after critical updates, but when I try to install new updates manually or do tune ups with HP support assistant it displays that setting a restore point failed and goes on to defragment.

Really the best thing you can do is s***can the HP software, and let Windows do it's job.

Your's reminds me of an HP I worked on two weeks ago. None of the HP crapware was doing it's job, and it conflicted with Windows. I uninstalled almost all of HP's proprietary programs, and "viola!" everything worked proper.

Sometimes Windows simply does the best job controlling, well, Windows.
