Caution... 1809 Update.

The word seems to be don't make the update in Windows 10.
It is deleting memory.

MS withdrew it several days ago so no one is at risk atm unless they get it from somewhere else..

 

So I'm okay checking for updates?

1809 is a feature update. If you study the advanced options in WU you can defer feature updates for up to 365 days. I suspect that when MS release 1809 again it should be ok but deferring it is the safer option. You will still get other updates, just not 1809.

 

OK, it's update Tuesday and MS have re-released 1809, presumably including a fix. I have mine deferred for 30 days. Home users don't have the defer option so this would be a good time to image what you presently have.

 

False news. 1809 is still being withheld.

 

Sending it out to the rings again. This program works well for me, is portable, and was recently updated. Update was losing files if saved to somewhere instead of, beside the default.
