CCC freeze

    While playing F3 the game stopped, so I had to shut down with the on/off button. The event log said

    0000000035: 2009-07-06 16:38:43:906 Exception: No value exists with that name.
    Exception Called by: ATI.ACE.LOG.Foundation.Implementation.Setting::DeleteRegistry processID:02468 threadID: (CCCThreadNew:Runtime) domainName: (ccc.exe ) assemblyName: (LOG.Foundation.Implementation, Version=2.0.3343.28328, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e)

    so I uninstalled CCC and ran through the same area where the freeze took place without a problem. Question is, do I need CCC since I'm controlling fan speed with Riva Tuner and monitoring with GPUZ?

    I've disallowed it from starting with Windows, my games still work fine :)

    most ati driver packages can be installed without the control panel. If you want, you can uninstall it completely then just download/install the driver only.
