I am not terribly computer savvy and would like to know if programs such as
Babylon Translator,ICQ and Opera would be default applications that CCCleaner would include,or are these most likely applications that may have been installed on a PC and are "handpicked" to be included in the clean?

Thanks in advance for helping a novice

Opera's temp folders are cleaned by default.

You can check if the other programs are detected by launching CCleaner, and in the Cleaner section, selecting the 'Applications' tab. Programs that get cleaned up by default are listed here.

You can add folders to be cleaned by going into the Options section, and pressing the 'Include' button. Here, you can add your own folders for CCleaner to empty.
