CCleaner cookie cleaning glitch

In recent versions of CCleaner including latest version, options/cookies/ cookies to delete box often leaves random cookies uncleaned. No cookies actually remain per verification in Explorer. Restarting Windows will empty the box, but the issue often arises again. Issue was addressed in CCleaner forum several versions ago but no fix yet. Or could it be unique to user activity. Weird. Running XP sp3.

Thanks. But I believe this issue is within CCleaner itself. I'm using latest version and the fix still isn't in.

Checked back on all CCleaner settings and options, nothing found. This seemed to start about 3-4 versions back, but don't want to roll back that far. After cleaning, the Explorer cookies folder is empty, but 1-4 cookie names might remain in the Cleaner cookies to delete box in Options. Once they appear there, only restarting Windows will erase them. I'm using latest non beta Flash Player version.

Got all those bases covered. Usually its content-rich sites like espn, cable news sites, or some typical ad cookies. The forum mods in CCleaner acknowledged potential bug but that was coupla versions back. So far only Windows restart will wipe the left over ghost cookies.

Yes, I've seen the "flash" in CCleaner. I meant this type of flash cookie. Does CCleaner clean also the LSO cookies or are these the same?

Remember, these 'ghost' cookies were never left uncleaned before. I have looked all over Explorer and checked all protected system folders, these cookies are nowhere to be found.

I believe those LSO(s) are one and the same as the flash cookies that CCleaner picks up. If you have the BetterPrivacy add-on installed, maybe try disabling it for a while and then check in CCleaner to see if there are any flash cookies found for deletion.

On the other hand, if you've been using "BetterPrivacy" and CCleaner is still picking up flash cookies then LSO(s) and flash cookies are not the same.

Also, if you use winapp2.ini with CCleaner (http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=29438), then you will get an additional option under Applications/Multimedia
    Adobe Flash Player More*
This will clean more than the original Flash Player cleaning.

Thanks for the input. Will continue to explore issue and post back if resolved.

Rolled back version by version to 2.33.1184. So far issue appears to be resolved. Reviewed change logs for each buggie version, can't isolate any potential cause tho.
