CCleaner - Delete some start up entries?

    HI
    I have CCleaner and I see a bunch of startup entries in the log that I do not recognize. Can I delete any of these to have a faster, more efficient start up?

    I wouldn't delete as you may have probs and some may just restart themselves.

    I use Winpatrol's startup manager to "disable" any startup entries so as they are still there to enable in case a prob arises.

    nah, just use msconfig and uncheck unneeded items.

    start --> run --> type (without quotes) "msconfig" --> startup

    Wow, thanks for the incredibly thorough reply.
    I am now at least comfortable that this stuff is not harmful.
    I've been trying to determine why my download speeds are so bad.
    this is one more item off the check list.
