CCleaner installation issue

I have tried many times over the past couple weeks to install CCleaner on several systems. It starts the installation and then crashes with no error. CCleaner portable works fine. Systems are free of viruses and malware. Upon searching the internet I have found nothing that offers any useful help. Anyone else have any ideas about this or experiencing the same problem>?

 

Where are you getting the installation file from? Fresh download each time or are you using a stored copy? If the latter get a fresh copy using plodr's link.

 

I have tried getting it from here and also Piriform. There are too may systems I have had this issue on to list all specs.

The portable version works fine.

During install I can get past license agreement and additional software section and as soon as it starts actual installation the window just disappears.

This happens with Slim Version as well.

It has me confused as in all the years I've used it, I've never dealt with this. Now 95% of PCs I try to install it on this issue occurs. No error message, just crash.

Is the same security software present on all of these PCs?
