Ccleaner possible issue....

about 2 weeks ago i downloaded Ccleaner and it was ok but 2 days after using it (fair enough quite alot) i lost all my personal accounts like ebay, hotmail etc. my accounts have just dissapeared. any suggestions joyfully received as usual!

 

Your accounts disappeared in what way? Can't log in to them, saved passwords disappeared, or what? If it was saved passwords in your browser, CCleaner will wipe the cookies they're saved in, unless you tell it not to. Other than that, CCleaner can not mess with your actual account.

 

i just couldn't log in to any of them at all although i have the same password for all. there's just no trace of the accounts i had. is there any virus asociated with that sort of thing?

 

That's possible or your accounts were hijacked. Ask about that in the Malware forum or possibly in the Networking (they deal with internet goings on there). If you suspect malware in your PC, go here: (2nd post down by chaslang)
