ok, i never really thought about it, and just now noticed something. i'm wondering if someone could explain, and/or enlighten me. i've always notice ccleaner "uninstall" to be similar to add/remove programs (at least what was listed). however, i just noticed on my main comp that ccleaner has alot more progams listed, than add/remove programs.

    newcopy_cda
    readme
    scannercopy
    scan

this is only a few that were listed (check both screenshots), there are others. any ideas?? could it be that i have an older version of ccleaner? thx, sos

ps, i'm out for the night, so i'll check in the am. - sos

I don't think this has anything to do with your version of CCleaner. Many months ago I recall reading a thread (I think on CCleaner's forum) about this and the bottom line was CCleaner's Uninstall Tool offers more detail than Windows Add/Remove Programs.
I couldn't find the above-mentioned thread, but this more recent one provides a little more information.

    Hi sosaman

IIRC, the CCLeaner uninstaller list shows all of what is listed in the registrys uninstaller hive, as some applications do install a few applications under the same installer, whereas the Windows one just shows the main uninstaller.

It used to show 4 various uninstallers which where linked to my old HP printer, but Window uninstall showed only the main one, so personally I would only use the Windows uninstaller first as with going the CCleaner route you could possibly only uninstall part of an application!?
