My OS is windows XP. When I run CCleaner Issues with registry, it finds a bunch of problems. Does this mean I should fix all of these, or should I go through and fix specific ones? Thanks for the help in advance.

It really depends on what the item is that ccleaner is stating that it found. And since it is from the Registry for XP, that can cause problems if the wrong item is deleted. It may be better to ask over in Malware, and post a copy of the log of the items that CCleaner found.

On default, ccleaner, will ask for you to backup what it is about to delete. I recommend the backup, just to be safe.

On a side note, #101: I rarely have any issues. Only time I had an issue, was when ccleaner found over 1000+ registry problems.

If you have issues, then you can merely execute the backup reg file, to replace the removed keys.

In the end, if CCleaner had corrutible issues with users, I hightly doubt that MajorGeeks would host it.

CCleaner is a good tool, but in the hands of someone that may not know how to use it correctly, can cause damage to their system, that only a re-install or Repair may fix.
