Ccleaner

I was wondering what people thought about this. I was reading this other post about there way of cleaning is. And with Ccleaner I scanned the register section and got like 50 plus missing dll and a lot of etc.. and I was wondering if it was okay to fix all those or no and don't risk hurting my computer?

 

I've used the Ccleaner registry cleaning tool on many Pcs and lappies with zero issues.
Ccleaner will prompt you to "save changes" before cleaning up the registry.
I'd reccomend you do that, as in the UNLIKELY event of a hiccup, the registry can be restored to it's earlier state.
Quite honestly I've yet to see a post on Mg's where CC had created problems on a PC.

Ccleaner is the safest of all the reg tools,it's not as aggressive as some but as sikvik said i also have yet to see a post where it has caused a problem.

Like others have said its probably one of the safest cleaners to use. Especially in that its so quick and easy to create backups, never had to restore one though... why wouldnt you use it could be the question.

I have had issues with large files and clearing out users temp and cookies etc... using Windows XP disk cleanup didnt fix it, next ran CCleaner and when done the unit was fine; that was doing a basic clean of temp files and cookies pretty much the same as what windows disc cleanup is supposed to have done. Didnt touch reg files or defrag or anything else...just deleted cookies and temp files... so end result after using the windows disc clean up still some "crap" on the system very next thing ran CC and the unit wasnt so sluggish in opening docs browsing for network files etc..although a good defrag of the registry certainly doesnt go a-stray now and again.

reccommend use it often if your an I.T guy or even basic user, be gald for the day that you found CC it should be added to every geeks tool box of trix and possibly voted as one of the best apps in its class. 10/10 from me anyway..
