I wasn't aware of this in previous versions of CCleaner but, the newest version has the ability to wipe an entire drive and not just the free space with either one, three, seven or 35 passes the way DBAN and other programs like MiniTool Partition Wizard can (see att'd).

CCleaner's Drive Wiper tool was first included in version 3.0 released October, 2010.

    Thanks for the info.

As I stated. I wasn't aware of the feature. I happened to do some "exploring" of CCleaner the last time I ran it. Nice to know it's there so I don't have to launch another app If I want to wipe another drive that's connected.

There is also a Secure Deletion at Options -> Settings that will overwrite deleted files when you do a normal cleanup.

I don't think that should be done with a SSD.

I use it to wipe free space on drive C just to be sure it is well cleaned.
