Just got an OEM CD-RW package with Nero Express 5.5 which is a crippled (not full capability) version. I have been using CD-Creator 5 I think on my old Dell with a HP 9100 writer. Can't find the upgrade disk so think I had downloaded the full version and paid for the upgrade. Therefore, I think I will be stuck wirh buying someone's upgrade to have all the features since it is on the old computer that is down now and don't think I had the downloaded file but not sure.

What's you guys (not gender specific) experience with burner software for speed, reliability and features and of course price.

    Nero Burner

I've been using Nero 5.5 for my Liteon burmer with no trubs at all. I have the full version but suspect that the reduced version merely includes bells and whistles such as Cd labeller etc etc which I don't use any way. Prior to that I had an earlier version of Easy Cd Creator which was a real bitch. So I am happy to continue with Nero

Surprised to hear probs with Nero...

    I use and love it..
Also, don't forget that WinXP has buring software built in. Not super powerful and very few (if any) features.. but it does the basics

Star, what kind of probs so I can keep an eye out.
    I am using v5.5

    Problems?

I hadn't really used the Nero sw that much to have any real problems, just said it was an OEM version i.e. not full featured. Since posting the original message I have used it some and altho I got some bad formatting on first couple of disks, I went back over them and they are OK. I did download an update to 5.5 and after installing the formatting problem (?) went away. May have been cockpit error on my part, not sure but I only had about 1/2 the disc capacity on the first format.

Sorry if I led everyone I was having "problems" just was feeling sorry for myself when the Nero site indicated that us OEM guys were less important to them than their "retail customers" Too many hours behind the screen putting this new puter together I guess.

Thanks for all your comments. Now that I am having better luck with Nero I will stick with it, at least for now. jayboy67
