CD burner wont burn?

Hi all,
I have a lite on ltr 48327s cd rw. it was working fine up until a couple of weeks ago. now it just wont burn (will still play a disk though). I have tried countless multimedia players such as real player plus (that is my main player I pay for it) windows media player, CDburn proxp (which I got from here) All of them seem to work just fine, they go through the burning process and spit out the disk with no errrors, but the disk comes out blank??? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, physically removed and reseated all cables, and made sure that the recording tab had cd recording available on this drive checked. at a loss on what to try now. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.

maybe u need just need 2 buy a new 1. and if it works then ur old 1 was proberbly genuwinely broken. if the new1 dont work then take it back to the shop and get a refund.

or try the burner in a different pc .

It sounds like your infared laser is fryed. It's still reading disks because its a different process than burning.

If your programs are properly storing to cache and going through the process of burning info the only other thing I can think of is to try burning at a slower speed to see if it can still sort the info but you might have to replace it.

Another thought, did you try different disks?

 

Hey guys thanks for the ideas. I have tried everything and I think your right about the infared laser guess I will go get a new one. Time to upgrade to a dvd burner anyways. Thanks again
