cd burner xp

hey...i downloaded cdburner xp from this site but when i tried to burn...i got the error message..."error during power calibration, can`t fulfill writing on this disk"....anybody any idea what i am doing wrong....thanks.

p.s i downloaded this programme because it was the most popular (and freeware) on mgeeks.....is it generally considered reliable then or would i be better off with another one? thanks.

(i have windows me, 256ram and broadband)

 

here goes and edumacated guess.

sounds like it may not like the cdrw you are using (have you changed??)
or it may just be a corrupt install(remove it and try again) dsl should be real quick

I am stuck in the country on dialup+an old 750mhz (we all have burdens to bear)

Hi,I've downloaded DeepBurner from this site,been using it for about 6 wks now and it works just fine with XP Pro and it's free.

 

i'm using CD Burner XP Pro as well... it's working fine for me... however my download from MajorGeeks did not work, I had to download mine from the official site... just Google CD Burner XP Pro and it should turn up the main site with the first hit...
