CD Burning Question

Forgive me if this is not the correct forum, and forgive me if this question is too elementary, but I don't know, so...

If I have burned only one song onto a CD (and then mistakenly ejected the disk, before the rest of the songs were burned/copied), can that CD be written over (deleted from, erased, or whatever the correct term is), please?

It seems that I have committed this EGREGIOUS error (!), however, it also seems that I was able to re-write (or add?) files onto this CD - after the fact (??), but now I can't seem to get the music to go over-top of it.

And the prompt is always. "Insert a BLANK CD" (<--that's likely my answer, eh?).

 

It depends upon if you commited to write the files to a CD-R and what options you chose.

IMO, I would just distroy the CD and make a new one if you want all the songs on it.

 

Thank you. My biggest issue is that I'm in a very rural location, and to the best of my knowledge, I'm exactly one hour from the closest place to buy any blank CD's.

So, is it "CD-R" that I need? Or should I simply get CD-RW, and that way I could do whatever I wanted...as many times as I wanted to do it?

CD-RW will let you do whatevery you want at any times. However, not every CD player will recognize that format.

If you are planning to put the CD into your car, I would suggest the CD-R route but if you wnat to delete and place music onto a CD regularly, then the CD-RW will be best since CD-R's are write once and only once.
