Could I get some suggestions of CD burning software?

I need one that can burn at low speeds. Like 2X and can handle image files.

NO, suggestions of Nero, Alcohol 120, Windows Media & CloneCD. The minimum burn for those are 12X and the last seems to only recognize its own images.

I like to use lower burn speeds also, but unfortunately, very few burning tools will have settings this low unless your burner is really old. So, I'll recommend some burning apps (all of them are free) and you can try 'em and keep what you like. ImgBurn is great for images (as the name implies) and will burn at any speed from 1x and up. You'll have to poke around with the others to see if they'll burn at lower speeds or not...

CDBurnerXP http://www.majorgeeks.com/CDBurnerXP_d4242.html (the name is misleading; it will run on all versions of Windows, not only WinXP)
    BurnAtOnce http://www.majorgeeks.com/burnatonce_d3992.html (good for images)

    EasyISO http://www.majorgeeks.com/EasyISO_d2499.html
MicroBurner http://www.majorgeeks.com/SilentNight_Micro_CDDVDISOAudio_Burner_d4765.html (says Shareware, but it's free with a Nag Screen)
    BurnRight http://www.kiwialpha.com/burnright/index.htm
I've used all the above at one point or another, with my favorites being BurnAware, MicroBurner, and BurnRight. There's a tool called ISORecorder that becomes part of the Windows shell (right click menu) that will create ISOs from folders/files/directories and/or burn ISOs using WinXP's built in burning software, all this from the right-click menu. Very handy if you have a need to create and/or burn alot of images. The write speed, however, is not adjustable AFAIK.

Well, there you have it. A fairly healthy selection of FREE burning tools for your every need! You can do everything from audio CD burning and creation, to video converting and DVD burning, to ISO work including creating and burning images. Good luck! And out of curiousity, please post what you end up using, and why... :cool
    Have fun!

ImgBurn is very good. After creating frisbees with the big two (Nero and Roxio) on my one computer, I tried ImgBurn and it hasn't let me down once! It's almost idiot-proof and I'm almost an idiot when it comes to trying to figure out settings in the newer versions of Nero and Roxio.
An older computer has Adaptec (pre-Roxio) and that is almost fool proof too but it doesn't work with the newer burners otherwise, I'd keep moving it from one computer to another.
