I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop, and my CD/DVD drive light is contantly on. There is no disk in the drive, and when I put a disk in, my computer will not detect it. I don't know what happened? I think the only thing I did was download the Any DVD decrypter to decrypt my DVDs. I also can't restore my computer to an earlier time. I have options, but it says restor failed when it reboots. Any idea on how to solve this?

Did you uninstall thru device manager and reboot?

If so have you done an online bitscan?

Have you uninstalled the dvd/cd program?

    no i have not.

Now when I click on the drive I get:
    D:\ not accessible
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

    Whatever that means.
