cd/dvd drive will not play or rip c/d's

    Hello...I have an issue with my tsst corp cdw/dvd TS-L462A drive(E). I can't play or rip c/d's...I have un-installed/ re-installed iTunes twice. Restarted, no change...drive test says drive is working...when I try and burn a c/d in iTunes the door opens and it says install a blank disc.

    Gateway 7322...Windows XP home sp-3...any help would be a Christmas saving present...
