CD DVD RW drive not working

    hp CDDVDW TS-L633N SATA Cdrom device is not working properly, I load a cd and get nothing opening. I put same cd in one of my childrens laptops and it works/loads perfectly. I've tried updating this drive through windows but got the message it is updated. Any suggestions?

    First, shut down the computer, unplug it from the wall, check your connections on the motherboard and on the drive. Plug in and restart the computer.

    If that doesn't work then you probably have a bad drive, borrow or buy a new one.
