how can i make an image of a cd cause my friend wants to make an image of a game and send it to me

I've used ISORecorder and it works great and it's free. I haven't used SilentNight but it's free and the description says it can make ISO images. Most retail CD burning apps have an image creation tool built in, it's just a matter of finding it and figuring out how to use it. Nero can make NRG files which are just Nero's version of an ISO. There's lots of other ISO tools out there but most aren't free (UltraISO, PowerISO, MagicISO etc...)

Dlb gave some great advice, but the game may or may not work for you when your friend sends you the image. Some of the newer games have copy protection embedded in the original CD. Don't be surprised if Halo or Adrynalyne close the thread, as this could be considered questionable. :major

i dont think this is illega because if it was i dont think there would be disks that u have to simply install once and u dont need the disk again
