CD Marketing Ploy

    Well I've always wondered why we have 4x write speed and 16x write speed and R and RW, why should we have to pay more so we can use a disc more than once? Honestly, is it that much harder to make a disc RW from R that you have to charge double? Is it hard for you to make it so a disc can record faster?

    I have no idea if this is even possible, but is it possible to get past all these limitations?

    Let's say I have a CD R that writes at 4x, is there a way I can change that?

    obviously you pay more because MFG isnt gaining money from you buying it over and over again since your reusing the media. Bout limitations part no you ussaly cant change that; theres been LIMITED cdrws that filmware has changed its speeds but thats 1 in a mill.
