CD question

I am sure this is not the right board, but, I have a question that maybe someone can help with.

I burn cd's using Memorex cd's. The skip/search will not advance to another track.

From an original cd it will advance.

Appreciate any thoughts.

I'm no fan of Memorex brand discs but that should not effect the skip/search function.

Are you copying a store bought CD or are you creating one out of various songs? I have little experience with audio CDs but perhaps it is your burning software. Take a look at CDburnerXP. It has the option of putting gaps in between songs which may help with the search function. I find it an overall very good burning program for any type of disc.

 

I am using CDburnerXp, I am copying from my music I have loaded to my computer to the memorex cd's I have purchased. I might add that I have three players with the search/skip arrows.
If I player a cd that is an original the skip/search works.
Going to try and find another burner that might work.

I would say there is a bug in the program they all have them.

 

Sorry, I don't burn audio CDs very often. I'm not familiar with the best burning program to use. I just took a quick look at CDburnerXP and it had the option of adding pauses so I thought that might solve your problem.

I hope you find a program that works for you or someone else can give you another suggestion.
