Cd Rom Not Reading Anything!!

I have a LITE-ON COMBO LTC-48161H in my EMachines computer its a CD\RW + DVD...
My little cousin came and messed up the cd drive i dunno what happened i wasnt there but not the drive doesnt read anything but windows detects it.

device manager / cd-rom / right click / properties ....what are they set at? should be dma and set to enable digital cd audio...

yea i have all that and i have ultra dma mode

Only two choices ....software or hardware ...would replace the drive and see if that works ...then you will atleast know where the problem lies ....since you don't know what little bro did.

yea i was gonna try the drive on my other pc but i thought it was something else wrong with the pc...
So im gonna go buy a new drive now thanks for the help

Would swap first just to be sure, before buying another ...just cheap (my allowance is pretty low ...).
