CD Rom not reading the name of the cd, only after restart

i had this problem before and i found a solution for it, but i can't find it now.

its a minor problem, but still annoying. when i put in a cd the cd rom wont display the correct name of that cd. the cd will work, just the name wont be there. after the comp is restarted the right name is shown. if i take that cd out, and put another 1 in, the name of that 1st cd will be displayed, until i restart again.

i remember it was some cd buring software that turned this option off, and then i uninstalled it. so had to reinstall, and check for that option, then unistall again.

anybody know a quick fix?
