cd-rw messed up

hi, i have had this problem befor but i forgot how to fix it. when i download a file like nero or blinderight i cant burn cd's and i forgot this and downloaded blindright. i unistalled it but still it puts lots of errors on a cd and says that things wont fit at the end of th burn and only burned leass that haldf the track of a cd i have burn b4. any tips. i have XP with a hp paviolon 360n i burn music with WMP but its not working now. it sometimes doesnt even read cd's

first off please list all your system specs,

You posted that the drive sometimes doesnt read CDs, how old is this drive maybe its on its way out
Have you tried using a cd lens cleaner

Do you have any burning software installed at all?

Go to Device Manager,double click on your CDRW drive and select properties, then select drivers-driver details and post back with all the drivers listed

Example
C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\cdrom.sys

Please give us as much information as possible

 

ok here ya go, btw its done this to me b4 its not burnt out. same exaxt symtoms.i cant copy and past and there like 8 of em so....


for now since its late ill post the one that says cd-rom

yes i have WMP and HP record now, i also have full version of musicmatch jutebox

Sorry if you misunderstood my question i actually wanter to see the drivers listed just like my example
But if you have 8 in there i would expect that one of the third party drivers is causing a corruption, maybe resetting to defaults will fix it, have a read of this thread and try the fix suggested (this is a vbscript so you will have to disable your AV before running)

Try that and let us know how you get on
