I use them, and never had any problems with them. A lot of DJ's use them, but only because it is easier to transport then a large case for road use.

I will give them a shot. I don't really have that many music CD's, mine are mostly the one's for my computers. Don't want to screw those up. :)

Yeah, maybe I am being to careful. I just have some "original" CD's that I don't want to ruin. 3 XP Home, 1 XP Pro, 2 Recovery/Driver, about 12 programs.

    Thank's for the input guy's. :)

As you wont ( hopefully ) be having to use those CDs listed Steve alot then those cases seem fine for storage, I have one for audio cds in the car and they seem to protect the CDs ok.

Just make sure that the cds have no dust or dirt on them before you slide them into the case.

but I would have thought this more up your street Imation disk stakka ;)

funny thing is I noticed this ages ago and forgot about it until I caught it on a QVC program... actually I'm tempted to get one.

I would be careful with "dust" thing. I really don't think I would have it open much once I get everything in it. Just wanted to put them all in a safe place and that I know where they are. I have them spread everywhere, in the boxes, on two different desk's, one of the XP Home's (OEM) is still wrapped.

Just wanted to get organized a little. That looks like a pretty cool gadget, did you notice how big that thing is? Click on the Tom's Hardware link, it shows it next to a laptop, holds 100 CD's. I like it, will check into it.

yeah, its not that big concidering what it holds compaired to having all those CD wallets stacked up or lting around, plus the demo I watched on QVC was impressive.

You can tag a disk as lent out and to who, so you never need to rack your brain thinging "who did I lend that cd to" and the option to add more when your collection grows is superb. Plus you can mix CDs DVDs Films Music etc

My advice: keep them in small numbers and don't move them too much.

I have a cd binder like this. It holds 128 discs. I have it almost full, and the sheer weight of the CDs have scratched quite a few all to hell. I keep it in the backseat of my car, and am always moving it back and forth as I change CDs.

However, for you situation, it sounds like these would work perfectly. Stack them vertically, and don't move them too much, and you'll be golden.

What you guess is on the CDs.. software prehaps, which is what Steve's question was aimed at protecting his original software cds ;)

ok could be hardware question I guess but thats just being too fussy as some question have multiple variations on what topic they could be in.

Yes Steve for peeps with a large movie collection or music for that matter that Stakka could be a nice addition to a media centre pc?
