cd writer prob

    Hi .Having a prob with my cd writer.Its set to autoplay but doesn't.The action box doesn't appear but I can open it manually>What could be wrong please.Am running xp home and originally took the auto insert off when I had Win 98.I am sure it worked with Xp once upon a time

    Look at the "NoDriveTypeAutoRun" key on the right. To enable Auto Insert Notification, right-click on that key, select Modify and change the value to 0000 95 00 00 00 and click OK. Close the Registry Editor and restart Windows for this to take effect.
