I've switched to a new computer with Vista. I've previously used Nero for making Video CDs, but I couldn't stand the last version. This new computer comes with Windows DVD Maker, which I've never tried. Should I try this program, or CDBurnerXP, which I've also heard good things about.
How do both of these compare to Nero? I saved my Nero serial number and password in case I need it, but I'd rather not to.

It's a good thing you hung on to your Nero info because you might need it. CDBurner XP doesn't have provisions for making Video CDs or DVDs and I'm not sure Windows Movie Maker does either.

Well, the new computer does have a DVD-burner, so I don't have to specifically make video CDs anymore. My major concern with the Window DVD Maker is that it might only work with Widows Media files. I also need a program that can rip MPEGS off of existing DVDs, and I'm not sure if any of these programs can do that.
    Any help is appreciated.
