CDROM Probs I THINK

    Hi

    Im not sure whats going on with my cdrom. I had a new 1 put in about 2 weeks ago as the last 1 died and I only had that 1 for 6 months but this ones reads audio cds fine, it rips ok and burns fine but when I go to use the cds i have burned they dont work. when i open my cdrom folder it says there is nothing there. I have tried the cds in 4 other pc's and the stuff i burnt is definatly there.

    any ideas?

    this particulary P*** me off the other night when I had a small crash and went to install some stuff i had on a backup disk i burnt but the pc said there wasnt anything on it.

    it might need a firmware update

    what make/model is the burner? what program are you using to burn your data? and what OS are you using?
