I think this is a good idea, probably better than starting a new thread for everyone. This way, if you want to be informed about this type of thing, you just post in here, and you'll get the email alerts when someone else returns to dust.

    Bravo Darlene.

I loved Fred Travalena, I always found his impressions better than Rich Little's.

    Watta week! :(

Re: Celebrity Deaths Oscar Winner Karl Malden Dies at 97

Karl Malden, the Academy Award-winning actor who appeared in some of the most iconic films of the mid-20th century and later found heightened fame on television and in commercials, died on Wednesday in Los Angeles. He was 97.
The actor's family told the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences that he died of natural causes at his home in Brentwood. Malden served as president of the academy from 1989-92.

If I knew about Street Car and Waterfront I had forgotten. Streets of San Francisco is what comes to mind with him. I liked him, 97's a good run.
    RIP Mr Malden

Yeah, I heard it too, I really enjoyed his movies, he was such a great actor!
Oh, PapaDuke, I just don't know how much more we can take.. Just seems like one, then two, and on and on, and this is just not good.. TOO MANY!:cry

On one light note, tho, Carl did live a long and happy life, and he passed away of natural causes... That has to be of some comfort, because at least he didn't suffer.... ;)

Look at it this way, part of the price of growing old is watching everyone you knew go before you.

    Didn't help?

    Me neither.

I was listening to the radio this morning and the station I listen to usually tells you which celebrity birthdays are going on that day, you know? Well they said because of the last week - week and a half they were just going to tell us which celebrities where still alive this morning. haha, ok not haha but a little humorous.

    LOL

Astonishing they are dropping like flies aren't they in saying that though apart from MJ the others seem to have had a good inning's Karl Malden was one of my favorites in TSoSF didn't realise he was that old, and then there's good old Molly Sugden from RUBS, but see how we all seeem to recognise them for there main roles in iconic tv programmes and the thing is they where both in some good film's aswell.

    Can n e 1 name some ???

Hi Jack, " TSoSF" was my all time fav. too.. I remember other movies he was in, but the names escape me now.. (must have too much information in my head, ya know?) Yeah, he was one heck of an actor.;)

He will be missed, and I didn't know he was that old either...
He sure had a long life...;)
