cell phone saga

to those that haven't followed this tale of woe, its about cell phones....nuff said !. well i think its sorted at last. i sent back the overheating samsung and they sent me something with letters and numbers (L????) in the meantime i contacted radio shack to find out if they still had nokias in stock, which they do. verizon then agreed to give me another rebate to cover the cost of it. when i went to get it (i was all excited) i noticed that the phone on display was a different model. i was racked with uncertainty, as i do not know if the newer models are as efficient. from all i can gather the reason the nokias work better is quite simply because the aerial (antenna) is bigger and better. the smaller the phone, the smaller the aerial. when she brought me the phone it was the earlier model, not the one on display. it was the last one they had and she didn't even realize it was different to the one she thought she was selling me. AND IT WORKS JUST FINE. hopefully by the time these phones wear out they will have resolved the reception issues (one can but hope). thanks to all for advise and letting me rant. much aloha

 

not to rain on your parade but i fear for your mortal soul. you think your woes are over but you will soon learn they are just about to begin. cell phones are the work of the devil i tell you. more addicting than crack cocaine. you will soon learn that you can never leave your home without it.

Good luck with your new phone. I am in the market for a new one in the near future. Must have bluetooth and play mp3's so that I can annoy the snot out of my coworkers with guitar riffs for ringtones .

Suggestions? I really like the looks of the razor phone but I have Verizon and I doubt they will ever carry anything that cool.

 

Glad you're pleased with it, I better upgrade soon, on a Panasonic X70 and it's poor value for money...

 

hubby says its all my fault for being a luddite. that the machinery 'knows' i hate it. (not my puter tho, just in case its 'listning" lol). me and you, missippimud.
