This is a problem that has been making me nuts for weeks now. One day all sounds disappeared from a few select programs such as Flash Player, Audacity and Clonk.

The weirdest thing is, that when I took the computer to my friend's computer shop, he said he had tested YouTube's sounds and they worked fine. When I try to watch anything on YouTube, or any other Flash-site, no sounds. There is a slight chance he may have been wrong.

Any solution ideas? My OS is Windows XP.

Do you download the latest Flash player from Adobe site?

Have you tried right-clicking the audio icon and opening volume controls to make sure no particular input is muted?

Just reinstalled my audio driver a while ago. Didn't help. How can you know that it "will" fix the problem anyways? :p
